Mighty-Mo

One week down in Cancun at Hope4Cancer and two to go. They do treatments 6 days a week and Sundays off so we are enjoying our time together today. We had breakfast, walked 4 miles on the beach and have sat by the pool and relaxed. 🙌🏼❤️🌞

We have been continually blessed since we have been here and feel God moving in a big way! We don’t believe in coincidences and we know that God is bringing the perfect people into our lives to help us through this journey. The staff at our hotel and at the clinic are so nice and helpful as are the patients and spouses/caregivers. On the first day Mike had lots of tests. His bloodwork was pretty perfect and his C-reactive protein which is an inflammatory marker was 1 which is really good as well. His Vitamin D level was the highest they have seen at 104, so that shows supplementation does work🙌🏼💪🏼 (you want high Vitamin D levels especially for cancer).

They did an ultrasound of Mike’s organs and lymph nodes and everything looked really good there too, so PTL for no lymph node involvement! They also did Alfa Thermo-diagnostics which uses heat to evaluate the state of the immune system, gut health, thyroid function, etc…. and that test was also really good. They did a hair analysis where they actually pull out some hairs from your head and this can show parasites & viruses, nutrition, toxins etc… After all the tests Mike’s daily therapies started and there are A LOT so I will explain all of them in my next post but, they include different IV therapies as well as coffee enemas, ozone, hyperthermia both local and full body, near infra-red lamp, PEMF, hyperbaric oxygen, Ultra-Violet Biological Irradation, Sono-Photo Dyanamic Therapy, Photo Dynamic Therapy Plus, Salvus Bio-Immunotherapy along with Nutritional counseling, and Behavioral, Emotional, & Spiritual Therapy.

I get to go with Mike every day for optional worship and prayer at 7:30am which is a hilight of our day! Then leave him to start his therapies and head back across the street to the hotel where the spouses/caregivers meet for breakfast and to talk. I have spent my days walking the beach, journaling and reading but it has gone by pretty fast. Mike gets done with his therapies around 3-3:30 and we enjoy some beach/pool time then either eat out at one of the restaurants here or in our room. We have had emotional times here, but truly feel blessed!

Last week was “Dr.Tony” week at the clinic. The founder of Hope4Cancer Dr. Tony Jimenez comes to the clinic once a month to have one on one visits with each patient. He truly is as kind, caring, honest and knowledgeable as he seems in videos we have seen of him. He nicknamed Mike “Mighty-Mo” after reading thru his chart (lung cancer for 22 years) and I love the nickname!❤️ He also did a Q&A for everyone that lasted about 2&1/2 hours.

I have been following Taylor Dukes of Taylor Dukes Wellness on Instagram since hearing her story (brain tumor) on The Allie Beth Stuckey Podcast and I saw that she was going to be here for a week for her follow-up visit. I had showed Mike her picture and told him to get a picture with her if I didn’t see her but… we “just happened” to meet her and her sister on the very short walk to the clinic. That was one of many God winks the first week and it turned out to be the biggest blessing because we quickly became forever friends🙌🏼❤️🙏🏼 Taylor was Mike’s IV buddy for the week and she helped him SO much. I could go on and on about Taylor and her sweet sister Kristen but, suffice it to say they are sweet, godly, beautiful genuine southern girls and they helped us through our first week and we will miss them so much!

One last God wink before I wrap up this long post. On the first day when I was waiting at the clinic for Mike to get done. I saw Dr. David Jockers and his wife Angel walking towards the front desk. I knew who they were because I have followed him for quite some time, he is a former chiropractor, and now influencer, and I had seen him on quite a few health podcasts. I introduce myself, and then Mike came out and we talked for a bit and took a quick picture. That night we went to dinner and while we were sitting there, the Jockers walked in to the restaurant we said hi and they sat near us, but it was their anniversary, so we didn’t want to bother them. When we were done eating, they walked over and chatted with us for quite awhile before their food got there. They asked if they could pray for us and we held hands and he prayed over Mike. It was a very special time and it just showed us that God was looking out for us and that we need to bold in our faith! Dr. Jockers and Angel are also just as they seem kind, genuine and godly.

There is a lot of hard stuff here as well, Cancer stories that are hard to understand, the grind of all the daily therapies, being away from loved ones…but we do know that God loves us and wants what is best for us even if we don’t understand His ways.

2 Timothy 1:7 “For God, has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline”

Be Blessed,

Paula
