big bold prayers
Mike has a brain MRI on Thursday Jan. 4th and we would love everyone to pray big bold prayers with us for no growth/no brain METS and no brain swelling! he has been feeling great since not being on the cancer medication (Gavreto) but the last 2-3 weeks he has had vertigo, more sensitivity to lights and more eyesight issues which all cause the mind to wander and cause some anxiety. We have all loved the medication break and it’s been so great to have Mikey Mo “back”!!! He has been getting exercise, doing sauna, hyperbaric, helmet, PEMF, red light, vibration plate, eating healthy, etc…etc… we also have had several zoom calls with the doctors at Cancer Center for Healing and have a plan almost finalized. When this plan is finalized I will explain it but, we are excited about it and remain so hopeful!
Mike did have a lung CT at Mayo before Christmas and there was slight growth in all 7 of the lung nodules but since he couldn’t take a full breath the time before due to Pneumonia and a pneumothorax it is kind of hard to compare, but the oncologist wasn’t overly concerned and he agrees that Mike should not take the Gavreto again because it was basically attacking him/his organs.
We have been so blessed over the years to have everyone home on Christmas and we had a great time celebrating the birth of our savior! We ate homemade Carmel rolls as usual, then read about Jesus birth, opened gifts, played lots of fun games, ate some more, played more games and just made wonderful memories! We also traveled to Dubuque to watch Jackson and his Loras team win a couple more games to make them 10-1… now the heart of the season starts tonight!
Thank you all for your prayers. It really is comforting to know that people are kind and caring enough to pray for Mike and our family! There are so many people that need big prayers and miracles… I know of three friends that are having brain MRI’s in the next couple weeks, if you could pray for good results for them as well I would appreciate it.
Mike and I are reading through the Bible again this year using the Bible Recap and highly suggest it to anyone. We have been listening to lots of music as usual and one song lately that is on repeat is MIRACLE CHILD by Brandon Lake. I won’t type out the whole song but you should listen. The first couple verses really hit home after an amazing doctor recently said to Mike “ you are an outlier, you should be six feet under, most people would have given up the ghost a long time ago” he also said he’s never seen anybody with stage 4 adenocarcinoma of the lungs live over 22 years!
