Why?
On the app: iDisciple Pastor Greg Laurie says that when tragedy strikes we often ask God why. He says this isn't wrong but it doesn't mean that God owes us an answer! In Isaiah 55:8-9 it says Gods ways are above our ways.
I'd be lying if I said Mike and I never asked why… why would a young, athletic, never smoker get lung cancer? Why if we are believing and praying for healing hasn't Mike been healed? So many whys with so much heartache around us. Maybe someday will will have an answer for our why's but for now we just have to trust our creator! Maybe our journey with lung cancer is to help and encourage others with cancer, maybe it it is to teach us to be more loving, compassionate people, maybe it's to help us and others to live healthier more fulfilling lives?!? Only the Lord knows the answer and that is okay because like the scripture says, His ways are higher than our ways.
We are believing that the Lord brought us here to Reno to provide the answers we have been searching for and for complete healing for Mike! Thank you Lord for giving us peace and contentment. Thank you for holding us and everyone who is hurting and asking "why" in your loving, comforting healing arms! In Jesus name, Amen.
Mike is still doing great and we are so thankful that he is feeling so well and that we only has three more treatment left next week, and then he will be on to a different oral Chemo.
In His love and ours,
Paula
